Take a Look at Our Opening

On the 8th of July 2026, The Peace Museum & Learning Lab celebrated its upcoming opening with a special Grand Opening Gala, bringing together friends, supporters, educators, and members of the community for an evening of celebration, conversation, and connection. Guests were invited to enjoy an exclusive sneak peek of the museum ahead of its public opening, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Hudson Valley.

The Event

Guests enjoyed an evening filled with delicious food, refreshing mocktails, games, and meaningful conversations about peacebuilding and the future of the museum. Throughout the evening, we shared our vision for creating a space where people of all ages can come together to explore peace, human rights, environmental stewardship, and social justice through education, dialogue, and community engagement.

Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive preview of several of our exhibitions before the museum officially opened to the public on July 10th. Visitors explored exhibits on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Climate Change in the Hudson Valley, and Understanding Peace, offering a glimpse into the interactive learning experiences that will continue to grow as the museum evolves.

Seeing so many people come together to support this vision reminded us why creating spaces for dialogue, education, and connection is so important.

Our very proud team, post-Gala!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening Gala and helped make the evening so special. Your enthusiasm, encouragement, and belief in the museum's mission mean so much to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back as we continue to grow.
